Woman Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash In Suffolk: Police

The 28-year-old Coram woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Suffolk police said.

ROCKY POINT, NY — A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Rocky Point on Sunday night in one of two fatalities on the county's roadways within hours of each other, Suffolk police said.

Christina Yannotti was driving a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Rocky Point Yaphank Road, between Route 25A and Whiskey Road, when it left the roadway and crashed into a
wooded area at around 10:20 p.m., according to police.

Yannotti, 28, of Coram, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run in Holtsville at around 5 p.m.
