Democrats Vote No On Dutchess County Budget (hudsonvalleypress.com) — Dutchess County legislators have approved a $650 million 2026 budget after a contentious debate, with Democrats, including Poughkeepsie representatives, voting no over concerns about affordability, EMS, and homelessness. Several amendments will shape funding for housing, municipal homelessness programs that could reduce transfers to the City of Poughkeepsie, public safety, and county services before the county executive’s final decision and a tax levy vote on December 17.

4. John Cena Wishes He Wrestled in Poughkeepsie On Farewell Tour (wpdh.com) — John Cena says he wished his 2025 farewell tour had included one more match at Poughkeepsie’s Mid Hudson Civic Center, now the MJN Center, so he could personally say goodbye to local fans.
