5 Crown, Prospect Heights Eateries Join NYC Summer Restaurant Week

Nearly 60 across the borough will participate in the July and August discounts.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Neighbors in Crown and Prospect Heights will have five options to get a taste of NYC Restaurant Week this summer.

Five eateries in the two neighborhoods made the cut for the summer restaurant week, which will officially start July 18 and last a full 30 days to celebrate the event's 30th anniversary. Reservations opened for the 623 spots participating across the five boroughs last week.

The summer 2022 program will offer prix-fixe lunch and dinner meals for $30, $45 or $60.

Neighbors can also find more options by heading to Flatbush, Bed-Stuy or Park Slope.

In total, 59 Brooklyn eateries are participating this year — a jump from past years when numbers were so low that the borough started its own tradition to highlight Brooklyn's best eats.

Manhattan still dominates the list with more than 500 eateries offering deals.

Unlike the past two Restaurant Weeks, this one will be the first since the coronavirus pandemic without sweeping masking and capacity restrictions.

"Masks and proof of vaccination are no longer required to dine indoors," the event's site states.

City officials still recommend that people wear high-quality masks in indoor public spaces to stop the spread of COVID-19.
