CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A man was fatally stabbed in the neck in Crown Heights Wednesday night in one of three overnight attacks in Brooklyn, police said.

Barrington Howell, 37, was found stabbed in the neck about 11:10 p.m. on Sterling Place near Schenectady Avenue, according to the NYPD.

He was rushed to an area hospital but could not be saved, police said.

Police initially took a person of interest into custody and, on Thursday, arrested Jamel Miles, 39, of Brooklyn. Miles lived at the location of the attack, police said.

The stabbing was only one of multiple attacks overnight, including a presumed murder-suicide in Park Slope, according to police and the New York Daily News.

And in Clinton Hill, a 35-year-old man was found fatally shot just before 3 a.m., police said.
