Person Fatally Struck By Train In Brooklyn; B, Q Lines Suspended: FDNY

B train service was suspended in both directions and southbound Q trains stalled after a person was hit in Brooklyn.

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, NY — A person was fatally struck by a train near Brooklyn's Prospect Park stop Tuesday morning, stalling B and Q trains, authorities said.

The person was struck just before 8:30 a.m. at the station on Lincoln Road between Ocean and Flatbush avenues, but their condition was not immediately known, according to New York City Transit officials.

The person was pronounced dead on arrival, according to the FDNY.

The crash stalled B trains in both directions and southbound Q trains from 7th Avenue to Brighton Beach/West 8th Street. Authorities said service would not be restored until at least 9:30 a.m.
