Stray Bullet Hits Woman Lying In Bed In Crown Heights: Cops

The bullet came through the Troy Avenue apartment window and hit the woman in her hand, according to police.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A woman was hit by a stray bullet while lying in bed in Crown Heights early Thursday morning, according to police.

The 37-year-old woman was lying in bed in her apartment on Troy Avenue when the bullet shot through the window and into her hand around 1:20 a.m., police said.

She was taken to the hospital with an injury to her left index finger, police said.

Police did not have details Thursday morning about whether anyone else was hurt in the shooting or where it happened. There have been no arrests so far, police said.
