33 Alleged Jamaica Gang Members Indicted After Fatal Shooting: DA
Gang members between the ages of 17 and 40 were indicted after a feud between Southeast Queens gang members led to more than 22 shootings.

QUEENS — More than two dozen alleged gang members were indicted after a shooting sparked by a feud left a 14-year-old dead around Baisley Park Houses in 2019, prosecutors said.
The Queens court indicted 33 people between the ages of 17 and 40 after a feud between Southeast Queens gang members led to more than 22 shootings, including the fatal incident against Aamir Griffin in October 2019, said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
Five of the gang members were charged with murder, and all 33 indictees are scheduled to return to court the second week of May, Katz said.

Griffin was fatally shot after member Sean Brown confused him for a rival on the night of Oct. 26, 2019, while the 14-year-old was playing basketball, the district attorney said.
The feud between the gangs Money World and rivals Local Trap Stars and Never Forget Loyalty escalated after Griffin’s death, leading to shootings at the Umbrella Hotel in Jamaica, Martin Van Buren High School, and several other locations, prosecutors said.
