Man Killed, Another Wounded In Queens Shooting: Police

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time.

QUEENS, NY — One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting near a Queens deli Thursday night, police said.

The incident happened in front of 5718 108 St. around 8:38 p.m.

Officers at the scene found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg and a 27-year-old with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The 28-year-old was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Queens in stable condition. The 27-year-old man was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, initially in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time. A description of a possible suspect or suspects have not been released yet.
