Duck Donuts Arrives To Fresh Meadows, Opens First Spot In The City

QUEENS — A Pennsylvania-based donut shop is expanding its precious goods to Queens.
Duck Donuts is set to open in Fresh Meadows Place, located at 61-32, 190th Street, on Saturday, April 8. The new donut shop will be next to Kohl’s.
Duck Donuts first opened in North Carolina in 2007, and the Queens location will be owned by a husband-and-wife duo from the southern state and Queens. It’s also the chain’s first location in the city.

“Queens is home to many different backgrounds and cultures, and we couldn’t think of a better way to bring the community together than through sprinkling happiness with donuts,” said Nida Mumtaz, co-owner of Duck Donuts in Queens.
The first guest in line on Saturday will receive a gift basket with Duck Donuts merchandise and one free dozen donuts per month for a year. The 100th guest will get one donut and one small coffee once a month for a year.

Ten percent of the proceeds from the opening week will be donated to Children’s Village NY, Queens Community House, and SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) Foundation.
The 1,600-square-foot retail shop will serve coffee blends, espresso beverages, donut breakfast sandwiches, donut sundaes, frozen beverages, milkshakes, and other items.
Duck Donuts in Fresh Meadows will be open Sunday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
