Fundraiser For Workers Who Died At JFK Airport Launched By Patron

QUEENS — The employer of the two construction workers who died while trapped in a trench at the John F. Kennedy Airport on Monday launched a fundraiser to help their families.
Triumph Construction Corp. launched a fundraiser on Wednesday after Franciso Reyes and Fernando Pereira died while working on Monday morning and got stuck in a trench.
"We are cooperating with the authorities and conducting our own investigation to determine what caused this tragic accident," a spokesperson for Triumph Construction Corp. told Patch.

FDNY officials underwent an emergency rescue just after 11:25 a.m., bringing 12 units and 60 firefighters to JFK Airport, FDNY said.
