Queens Man Sentenced After 2021 Shooting In Jamaica: DA
Giron Figueroa, 21, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Wednesday after he shot dead Albert Serrato, prosecutors said.
QUEENS — A man from Jamaica was sentenced to prison after the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man during a robbery in 2021, prosecutors said.
Giron Figueroa, 21, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Wednesday after he shot dead Albert Serrato in a building on 150th St., near 105th Ave., on July 24, 2021, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said.
Figueroa targeted Serrato about 2:40 a.m., demanding money and then shooting him several times before fleeing, the district attorney said.

The 21-year-old later asked a friend to dispose of the gun, Katz said.
Figueroa pleaded guilty to manslaughter in February, prosecutors said.
