Ballot Scanner Issues Reported At Some Queens Polling Sites

QUEENS, NY — Queens residents heading out to vote Tuesday morning may have experienced some issues scanning their ballots at some polling sites, according to officials.

"Some Queens poll sites required multiple attempts to scan a ballot", the city's board of elections said in a statement. "Technicians were immediately dispatched, and corrective measures were undertaken."

Following the scanner issues, all 290 sites in Queens were inspected.

Officials said voters have not been impacted beyond additional attempts to scan their ballot or have it placed in an emergency bin per protocol.
