Teens Smash Angel Statue At Hillcrest Catholic Church: NYPD

Three boys destroyed a concrete statue of an angel that was in the back of Holy Family Church, police said.

QUEENS — Three teenagers smashed an angel statue at a Catholic church in Hillcrest last week, police said.

Authorities are looking for the three boys that destroyed a concrete statue of an angel that was in the back of Holy Family Church, located at 175-20 74 Ave., on March 23, the NYPD said.

The teenagers snuck into the property about 10 p.m. and destroyed the statue valued at about $500 before fleeing, cops said.

The Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident, police said.

The NYPD released images of the teenagers, who are about 15 to 17 years of age, according to authorities.
