Gunpoint Robbery Reported At Riverhead Eatery: Police
The man came in with a handgun, and had a bandana covering his face; he fled on a bicycle, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead eatery was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, a 911 call in reference to a robbery came in at 10:32 p.m. from Shah's Halal Food, located on Route 58. The store manager said that a male came in with a bandana covering his face; he had a handgun and demanded money, police said.
The manager handed over an unspecified amount of money and the thief fled the area on a bicycle, police said.
