Looking to try out your hands at gardening? The River and Roots Community Garden, a group that maintains about 40 flower beds by the Peconic River downtown, still has some openings.
Co-founder Amy Davidson said Friday afternoon - while introducing a new member to the garden - that a couple spots remain as the garden opens up for its third season by the river.
Interested parties should contact Davidson directly at 631-591-1810.
