Reeve's Beach Closed After Storm Damage, Supervisor Says
The beach is closed until further notice, Riverhead Town Supervisor Tim Hubbard says.
RIVERHEAD, NY — As a result of damage sustained during Tuesday night's storm, Riverhead Town Supervisor Hubbard has directed Reeve’s Beach and the related facilities to be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic, until further notice.
The closure includes the parking lot, gazebo, ramp and stair system. The health and safety of residents is Hubbard’s primary concern and top priority, he said.
"Please be patient as town workers evaluate and assess the evolving situation at Reeve’s Beach," Hubbard said.
