Riverhead Country Fair Canceled Due To Inclement Weather Sunday
The event was canceled due to a nor'easter that's set to slam Long Island with damaging winds, rain and coastal erosion.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Mother Nature has put the brakes on the 2025 Riverhead Country Fair — the event was canceled due to the coming nor'easter.
"Due to the pending inclement weather this Sunday, the Riverhead Country Fair on Sunday, October 12 on East Main Street in Riverhead will be canceled," Riverhead Town police said.
The decision was not an easy one; the initial intent was to hold the event rain or shine, organizers said. "After much deliberation the fair committee has decided to cancel the 2025 Riverhead Country Fair. Be safe, everyone," organizers said.
