Here are the top stories today in Riverhead:
- Riverhead Police want to make sure, you and your child are safe while riding in a vehicle. Police will conduct a zero-tolerance enforcement check for seat belts and child restraint requirements from May 23 through June 5. (RiverheadLOCAL)
- Riverhead Town officials are considering big increases in fines for people who litter or graffiti buildings. (Subscription: Riverhead News Review)
- The police report for Riverhead in April shows that police made 90 arrests. Out of the 90 arrests, 59 people were arraigned for their crimes during the same month. (RiverheadLOCAL)
- The Town of Riverhead refused to issue a tent permit to the Dimon Estate restaurant in Jamesport, as a result, the restaurant canceled all weddings it had booked for 2022. Neighbors had complained about noise due to the restaurant holding events outside on the lawn. (RiverheadLOCAL)
