RIVERHEAD, NY — Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and Patch has what you need to know before you head to the polls.

Ballots will include choices for U.S. president, U.S. Congressional races, New York State Senate and New York State Assembly.

Riverhead voters will also vote on propositions, including Proposition 1, the Equal Protection of Law Amendment.

Proposition 2 aims to improve water quality in Suffolk County by upgrading and modernizing wastewater infrastructure and expanding sewers. A dedicated fund, created by an 1/8 penny increase to the county sales tax to 2060, would address the issues.
