Thieves Steal Trailer, Parts Worth $135K From LI Auto Dealership: PD

They were seen removing the trailer at a Riverhead auto dealership recently, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A trailer with automotive parts was stolen from the lot of a car dealership in Riverhead recently, police said.

According to Riverhead Town police, on Sunday, Feb. 16 at about 7:15 p.m., the 24-foot enclosed trailer was taken from the lot of Eagle Chevrolet, located at 1330 Old Country Road.

Two unknown individuals operating a newer model Chevrolet Silverado were seen removing the trailer and heading westbound on Route 58, police said.

The reported value of the trailer was $60,000 and the automotive parts were reported to be valued at about $75,000, police said.
