Graham School Students Arrested for Attacking Reporter

According News 12 Westchester, four teens attempted to mug reporter CeFaan Kim at a Yonkers train station Thursday morning.

Yonkers Police have arrested four teens accused of attempting to mug News 12 and NY1 reporter CeFann Kim at a Yonkers train station around 9 a.m.

Three of the suspects, aged 14, 15 and 16-years-old, are students of the Graham School, a residential treatment facility for at-risk youth in Hastings-on-Hudson. The fourth suspect is a 16-year-old from Brooklyn.

New 12 Westchester reports that Kim was attacked while he was walking on Odell Avenue from the Greystone train station in northwest Yonkers. The teens—two of whom are 15-years-old, while the others are 16—are accused of punching Kim repeatedly in an attempt to rob him of his cell phone. Kim fought off the attackers who fled after a car that was driving by stopped to help, according to News 12 Westchester.

Kim suffered a broken nose and head injuries and was taken to St. John's Riverside Hospital in Dobbs Ferry. Click here to read the story on News 12 Westchester's website. The teens were charged with felony counts of attempted robbery and assult, both in the second degree.
