Bee-Line Bus Stabbing: Attacker Escapes Through Back Door

At around 5:10 p.m., Westchester County and Yonkers police responded to the scene where a passenger was stabbed in the chest.

YONKERS, NY — The Westchester County Police Department says that it is investigating a stabbing that took place Wednesday evening aboard a Bee-Line bus in Yonkers.

Around 5:10 p.m., Westchester County and Yonkers police officers responded to the scene after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed on the bus as it traveled on Elm Street, in the Nodine Hill neighborhood. After the attack, the assailant exited the bus through the rear door, according to police.

The victim, who had been stabbed once in the chest, was taken in stable condition to Jacobi Medical Center, in the Bronx, according to police.

Detectives said they are investigating whether the victim and assailant know one another.
