New Lottery Open For 75 Affordable Apartments In 'The St. Clair'

Rents at the Yonkers building range from $1,414 for a studio to $3,399 for a three-bedroom for those meeting household income requirements.

YONKERS, NY — Yet another new chance for renters to combat the ongoing affordable housing crisis is here for a lucky few.

Westchester Residential Opportunities announced that "The St. Clair," a newly constructed, all-affordable building located at 36-38 Main Street, in Yonkers, will have 75 affordable units set aside. First occupancy is expected in April 2026.

Amenities include broadband internet, a fitness room, indoor/outdoor recreation space, a bike room, free parking (spaces are limited), and paid laundry.

Affordable units will be available to those earning less than 80 percent of the area average monthly household income.

Studio: $1,414-$2,073

  • 3 units available for 50 percent AMI
    • for household size of one, income limits are $44,610-$59,500
  • 5 units available for 60 percent AMI
    • for household size of one, income limits are $53,550-$71,400

One-bedroom: $1,506-$2,463

  • 23 units available for 50 percent AMI
    • for household size of one, income limits are $47,790-$59,500
    • for household size of two, income limits are $47,790-$68,000
  • 9 units available for 60 percent AMI
    • for household size of one, income limits are $57,360-$71,400
    • for household size of two, income limits are $57,360-81,600
  • 4 units available for 80 percent AMI
    • for household size of one, income limits are $76,500-$95,200

The deadline for applications is February 23, 2026, at 4 p.m. Selections will be made by lottery on March 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. Applications received after the deadline will be waitlisted. Sending more than one application may disqualify you.
