Plea Deal Reached In 'Senseless' New Year's Day Murder Case: Westchester County DA
As 2025 kicked off, 37-year-old Stephan Carson was stabbed to death after an altercation turned violent on a Yonkers street.

YONKERS, NY — As 2025 comes to a close, justice for a murder case that started with the new year took a big step forward in a Westchester County courtroom.
Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced that 43-year-old Jamal Glover pleaded guilty to felony second-degree murder on Wednesday related to the New Year's Day killing of 37-year-old Stephan Carson, in Yonkers.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 15.

On Jan. 1, Glover stabbed Carson to death after an altercation at 2 Hudson Street in Yonkers. He was captured in White Plains a few hours after the incident.
"In less than twenty-four hours, the investigating officers secured a hectic murder crime scene, identified a suspect, tracked him down and arrested him without incident," DA Cacace said. "I am grateful for the diligent work of these officers and our hard-working prosecutors for bringing closure to this senseless killing."

This investigation was conducted by the Yonkers Police Department. The White Plains Police Department and the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force assisted with the arrest.
