Are you still recovering from Sandy damage more than six months after the storm?

A New York State "Sandy Help Team" will be on-hand at Irvington's Village Hall on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30, U.S. Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-NY17) announced in a press release.

According to Lowey's office the team will be at Village Hall on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. "to help homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy apply for recovery aid."

Staffers will help residents and business owners complete applications for assistance this week. Afterward, the team will help set up meetings with "a disaster recovery representative."

"Eligible uses of recovery aid include, but are not limited to, home repairs, elevations and buyouts; mitigation assistance and small business assistance," according to the release.
