Suspect Arrested In Connection To Bee-Line Bus Stabbing Of Teen: WCPD

YONKERS, NY — The Westchester County Police Department says that it arrested a man on Thursday night and charged him in connection to the stabbing of a teenager on a Bee-Line bus in Yonkers earlier this week.

Police say that 20-year-old Eric Dickerson, of Yonkers, was arrested at his home around 8:20 p.m. by detectives from the General Investigations Unit.

He was booked at WCPD headquarters and charged with felony first-degree gang assault. Dickerson is being held for arraignment in Yonkers City Court.

Police say that Dickerson is accused of being among a group of men who confronted the teenage victim before he was stabbed as the bus traveled along Elm Street around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

The group then fled from the bus at the corner of Oak Street, according to police.

Public Safety Commissioner Terrance Raynor praised the patrol officers and detectives who worked on this case and thanked the Yonkers Police Department for its assistance.
