Woman Arrested for Assaulting Lady Holding Newborn

The 27-year-old was charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

A reportedly drunken Manhattan woman was arrested on March 9 for striking a 52-year-old woman in face who was holding an 8-week-old infant.

Officers arrived at a Lincoln Avenue home in Hastings-on-Hudson around 6 p.m. after the homeowner, a 72-year-old female, reported that her daughter had been assaulted by a houseguest.

The daughter sustained substantial pain and had to seek medical treatment after she said the 27-year-old woman allegedly struck her in the head and face after the woman was asked to leave and returned.
