City Of Rochester: East Avenue Grocery Run To Affect Traffic Downtown On November 6

The annual East Avenue Grocery Run will take place this Saturday, November 6, causing temporary street closings.

The annual East Avenue Grocery Run will take place this Saturday, November 6, causing temporary street closings. The run will begin at 8 a.m. at the corner of East Avenue and Meigs Street. To minimize inconvenience, streets will reopen as the last participant passes.

The following streets will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m.:
• East Avenue – CLOSED- between Goodman Street and South Union Street
• Alexander Street- CLOSED- between Charlotte street and Gardiner Park
• Prince Street – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY- No access to East Avenue
• Strathallen Park– LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY - No access to East Avenue
• Arnold Park– LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY - No access to East Avenue
• Meigs Street– LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY - No access to East Avenue
• Sibley Place- CLOSED - No access to East Avenue
• Anson Place- CLOSED - No access to East Avenue

The following streets will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m.:
• South Union Street- CLOSED - between East Avenue and Gardiner Park
• Broad Street- CLOSED - between South Union Street and Broadway
• Court Street- CLOSED - between Exchange Boulevard and Broad Street
• South Avenue- CLOSED - between East Broad Street and Woodbury Boulevard
• Clinton Avenue- CLOSED - between Woodbury Boulevard and Court Street
• Chestnut Street- CLOSED - between Broad Street and Woodbury Boulevard
• St Mary’s Place- CLOSED - at Court Street
