Group Collaborates With Monroe Community College, Other Organizations To Host Food4Vets Distribution

The event will be conducted as a drive-through food box distribution.

USA Veterans & Military Support Foundation (USAVMSF) is partnering with several organizations, including Monroe Community College, to provide 500 of its Food4Vets food boxes filled with shelf-stable foods to veterans and their families living in the Greater Rochester area.

Time: 10 a.m.-noon

Where: Parking lot F at Monroe Community College’s Brighton Campus
1000 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14623

Registration is required; individuals may register here.

The event will be conducted as a drive-through food box distribution. Individuals shall remain in their vehicles and volunteers will place the Food4Vets food box in the vehicle’s trunk, back seat or pickup truck bed.

Don Cox, president & CEO of USAVMSF, said, “Food insecurity has been a harsh reality for many of our veterans and their families, and the pandemic has exacerbated this issue. We are grateful to be partnering with Wegmans – a lead sponsor of this event – and these other caring organizations to make sure that these deserving men and women living in the Rochester region have an opportunity to access Food4Vets food boxes filled with quality, nutritious foods.”

Other event partners include Wegmans, which is transporting the food and sponsoring the event; several chapters of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association; and the Veterans Outreach Center Inc. in Rochester.
