On June 13, 2022, residents from Ontario Center on County Complex Drive in Canandaigua enjoyed a trip to Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park and the weather was simply gorgeous.

At the 50-acre historical estate in Canandaigua, residents and staff were able to see nine formal gardens, an antique greenhouse complex, and a Victorian mansion. Most of all, residents enjoyed being outdoors in a setting they haven't been exposed to in a long time due to the pandemic. Today, however, everything was perfect.

"Having our residents once again go on these excursions are the best thing for them," said Tammy Voeltz, Recreation Director at Ontario Center. "Places like these, where you have a mixture of nature, beauty, and history really appeal to everyone's liking. What can be better?"
