Penfield Gets Best Of 2025 Nod For 'Great Schools, Excellent Teachers' And More

PENFIELD, NY — Every community has its bright spots — the neighbors, businesses and local favorites that make it feel like home. As 2025 comes to a close, Patch and T-Mobile are recognizing the people, places and moments that made this year brighter in East Falmouth through our Best of 2025 series.

Who or what are you nominating for Best of 2025?

Penfield, New York

How did this person, place or experience make a difference in your life or community this year?

I grew up in this town. It has great schools, excellent teachers, public transportation to the city just seven miles away, beautiful hiking trails in the Thousand Acre Swamp and Wegmans grocery store, great parks and sledding hills.

What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?

Wonderful school system. Majority of students go on to higher education. Several colleges close by in Rochester and surrounding areas as well.

If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?

Thank you to the best teachers around.

What’s something you love most about your town or community?

Even though there's been many changes and expansions to the town, there is plenty of town pride and great participation as well.
