Police were called to Gananda Middle School in Walworth, New York, after students texted 911, according to a report.

WALWORTH, NY — Gananda Middle School in Walworth was placed on lockdown Friday after a false kidnapping report prompted a heavy police response to the school, according to a report.
Authorities told WHEC-TV in Rochester that students texted 911 after hearing about a possible armed suspect attempting a kidnapping inside the school. Police determined it was a false report and found no gun, according to WHEC.
The school was placed on lockdown Friday while authorities investigated.
