Baldwin Resident Will Recall Brief Mets Stint At Old Timers Game
Steve Dillon pitched for the Mets in 1963 and 1964.

BALDWIN, NY — A one-time Mets pitcher from Baldwin will join other players at this weekend's Old Timers' Game.
Steve Dillon and dozens of others will take part in the Citi Field festivities on Saturday.
Dillon, 79, was signed by the Yankees when he left Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, Newsday said.

He found his way to the Mets, pitching in three major leagues games spanning the 1963 and 1964 seasons. Although he didn't record a win or loss for the Mets, he is part of their history, playing in the first night game at Shea Stadium in 1964, Newsday said.
