Board Recap: Peter Dordal Sworn in as Commish of Housing Authority
Board also approves sending RVC cop to FBI academy.

Peter Dordal was sworn in as the commissioner of the Rockville Centre Housing Authority at Monday's Village Board meeting, and the board approved sending RVC's Lt. Chris Romance to a 10-week training course at the FBI Academy in Virginia.
Romance will leave for the academy in October, and the training will cost the village $1,400. Police Commissioner Charles Gennario said the FBI academy is a prestigious school and it's very difficult to get a spot in it. The academy, he added, offers second-to-none law enforcement training. "The dividends will be seen throughout the department for decades to come," he said.
The board also approved sending Gennario to the five-day, 118th annual International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference and Law Enforcement Education and Technology Exposition in Chicago. It will cost the village $1,660.
