Rockville Centre Mayor Francis X. Murray has announced a joint sponsorship between the Village of Rockville Centre and The Rockville Centre Conservancy to conduct a Spring Clean-Up of Centennial Park on April 27 at 9 a.m.
This will be the second consecutive year that this event will be held. As with last year, volunteers will be cleaning up around the baseball fields, the playground and along Mill River.
The village will be providing bags for the event to make disposal of any refuse easier.
The clean-up starts at 9 a.m. in the parking lot at Centennial Park. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, wear long pants and wear closed toe shoes or work boots.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to come together as a community and set an example for everyone that visits our parks,” Murray said.
