COVID Cases Drop As Nassau 'Vaxmobile' Make First School Visit

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Mount Sinai South Nassau "Vaxmobile" will make its first appearance on a college campus.

Molloy College will host a free COVID-19 booster clinic for students and staff.

It is scheduled for Jan. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Hays Hall.

All students, faculty and other employees at the Rockville Centre campus are required to be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccines for the spring semester, the school said in a statement.

All appointments for Pfizer and Moderna boosters were filled by Friday evening.

The omicron variant continues to ebb, now a positivity rate below 10 percent statewide, Gov. Kathy Hochul's office said on Friday. On Long Island, the number of cases is also steadily decreasing at 14.4 %.
