
Arrests:
On July 13 at 9:35 p.m., Raymond D. Johnson, 26, of Hicksville, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and operation of an unregistered car on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
On July 15 at 9:30 p.m., Alfonso P. Leon, 22, of Oceanside, was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia in Municipal Parking Field No. 26.

On July 15 at 9:31 p.m., Daniel D. Dalferro, 21, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana in Municipal Parking Field No. 26.
On July 15 at 10:59 p.m., Kevin O. Brown, 23, of Hempstead, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Hempstead Avenue.

On July 17 at 12:12 p.m., Tiphanie Hylton, 19, of Baldwin, was arrested at her place of business and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree grand larceny after the defendant, an employee at CVS Pharmacy at 598 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, was found to have stolen over $10,624 of narcotics over an eight month time period.
On July 17 at 11:04 p.m., Nilitas Margiellos, 37, of West Babylon, was arrested and charged with possession of burglars' tools and multiple vehicle and traffic law offenses after he fled the scene of a VTL stop. The defendant was in possession of crowbars, gloves, ski masks, two-way radios and flashlights when arrested on South Long Beach Road.
On July 17 at 11:04 p.m., James Laruffa, 59, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with possession of burglars' tools. The defendant was in possession of crowbars, gloves, ski masks, two-way radios and flashlights when arrested on South Long Beach Road.

ID Theft:
On July 13 at 9:16 p.m., a Powell Avenue resident reported a male subject attempted to withdraw funds from his checking account at a bank in California on July 6.
On July 18 at 9:30 p.m., a South Forest Avenue resident reported an unknown subject opened a credit account with a merchant and purchased items in Maryland on June 28.
Alcoholic Beverage Control Law Violations:
On July 14 at 4:40 p.m., Jose E. Brito, 38, of Rockville Centre, the owner of Brito Deli at 505 Merrick Rd., sold an alcoholic beverage to a person less than 21. An appearance ticket returnable to RVC court on Aug. 3 was issued.
On July 14 at about 9:05 p.m., Tshaka Rogers, 23, of Hempstead, a bartender at Vibe Lounge on North Park Avenue, sold an alcoholic beverage to a person less than 21. An appearance ticket returnable to RVC court on Aug. 3 was issued.
Both of the above were the result of an investigation conducted by Detective Norwood of the Rockville Centre Police, using an undercover/underage police agent.
Investigation:
On July 15 at about 10:20 a.m., an RVC Electric Department employee observed bones in the water at the south end of Smith Pond while he was conducting a routine electrical service inspection. The bones were removed from the water by the Nassau County Police Department Marine Bureau and transported to the medical examiner's office where they were determined to be the remains of an animal.
Larceny:
On Jul 13 at 9:20 a.m., a service customer at Morrissey GMC, located at 510 Sunrise Highway, reported the theft of a GPS unit and $100 cash from his vehicle while it was left for service between July 8 and July 13.
On July 17 at 1:05 p.m., an Arlington Road resident reported an unknown person removed his wallet, GPS device, and cell phone from his unlocked car while it was parked in the driveway overnight.
On July 18 at 10:55 p.m., an East Rockaway resident reported an unknown person damaged his driver's side window and removed his GPS device from his car while it was parked in the parking lot at Friday's Restaurant, located at 716 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
