Crime Watch: Burglaries in N. Village Apartments

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the RVC Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On Jan. 10 at 9:25 p.m., Mark Hanson, 46, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon following a police investigation on Front Street in Rockville Centre.

On Jan. 11 at 4 a.m., Eric I. Yuzefpolsky, 40, of Staten Island, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL violations following a police investigation on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Jan. 10 at 10:34 p.m., Joseph E. Mason, 31, of Baldwin, was arrested for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL violations following a police investigation at Sunrise Highway and Oceanside Road in Rockville Centre.

On Jan. 14 at 4 a.m., Lawrence Yearling, 21, of Lakeview, was arrested for DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL violations following a police investigation on N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Village Code Violation:

On Jan. 14 at 1:36 a.m., Erik R. Bressingham, 26, of Forest Hills, was issued an appearance ticket for Village Code Disturbing the Peace following a police investigation at Churchill’s Bar, located at 18 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On Jan. 14 at 1:36 a.m., R.M. Bressingham, 23, of Massapequa Park, was issued an appearance ticket for VC Disturbing the Peace following a police investigation at Churchill’s Bar, located at 18 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Burglary:

On Jan. 9 at 4 p.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that an unknown male entered his apartment that is located in a medical building at approximately 3:05 p.m. and stole assorted jewelry valued at approximately $2,700 without authorization. The male subject fled on foot into the medical building complex hallway.

On Jan. 10 at 6:40 p.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) entered her apartment and stole property that included two Apple iPads valued at $1,150, lap top computer, digital camera and assorted jewelry sometime between 7:25 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. There was no sign of forced entry at the time of investigation.

Criminal Trespass:

On Jan. 9 at 8:15 p.m., a complainant from Grand Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) entered his apartment without authorization sometime between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

On Jan. 9 at 10:40 p.m., a complainant from Grand Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) entered his apartment without authorization sometime between 6:10 a.m. and 9:05 p.m.
