Crime Watch: DWI's and Car Break-Ins

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Arrests:

On March 10, Jose Beltran, 53, of Freeport, was arrested for second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree harassment following a police investigation on Jefferson Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On March 12 at 5:39 a.m., Jahanzeb N. Khan, 28, of Valley Stream, was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated and other VTL violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and North Centre Avenue.

Larceny:

On March 12 at 2:17 a.m., a South Hempstead resident reported that at approximately 2 a.m., an unknown person stole her unattended pocketbook containing U.S. currency, mobile phone and credit cards while she was at Cannon’s Blackthorne Restaurant and Bar located at 49 North Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On March 12 at 3:20 p.m., a Palm Beach, Florida resident reported to police that his bicycle was stolen by unknown person(s) while it was left unattended outside of his storage unit, inside of the Public Storage facility located at 36 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, sometime between 1 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.

Criminal Mischief:

On March 9, a Valley Stream resident reported that unknown person(s) damaged the passenger side window to his 2009 Lexus and stole miscellaneous paperwork from the glove box while parked at 2000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre between 9:30 and 11:40 a.m.
