Crime Watch: Man Arrested Twice, Stabbing Near North Centre Ave.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • Stephen Radi, 38, of Rockville Centre, was arrested on Sept. 2 at 9:18 p.m. and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing, first-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief following an investigation by police personnel at his residence. Radi was then arrested again on Sept. 4 at 3:10 p.m. and charged with second-degree robbery and first-degree criminal contempt following an investigation by police personnel on Terrace Avenue in Hempstead.

  • A 19-year-old man from Rockville Centre was arrested on Sept. 6 at 10:55 p.m. and charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child and social host law violation following an investigation by police personnel at his residence.

  • Melvin Reyes, 39, of Hempstead, was arrested on Sept. 9 at 3:12 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL violations following an investigation by police personnel on Morris Avenue and Maple Avenue.

    Robbery

    • A complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Sept. 4 at 2:40 p.m. that her son stole a 2009 Mitsubishi while in the vicinity of DeMott Avenue and North Village Avenue.

    Assault

    • A complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Sept. 3 at 7:41 p.m. that while in the vicinity of North Centre Avenue and Meehan Lane, he was stabbed by an acquaintance in the abdomen, causing injuries requiring medical attention.

    Investigation

    • A 15-year-old complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Sept. 7 at 9:37 p.m. that he had a dispute regarding money with two acquaintances while in the vicinity of Raymond Street.
