Crime Watch, Part II: Overnight Car Larcenies Hit N. Village Avenue

Larceny

  • On March 15 at 7:11 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 5:30 and 7 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged two passenger side windows to his 2010 Ford motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field located on Peninsula Boulevard in Rockville Centre. The suspects stole a wallet containing credit cards and $100, a wedding ring valued at $1,500 and a case containing 10 harmonicas valued at $600.
  • On March 16 at 8:55 a.m., a resident from Walnut Avenue in Rockville Centre reported an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway overnight and stole his laptop computer and EZ Pass.
  • On March 18 at 9 a.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 6:40 p.m. on March 17 and 7 a.m. on March 18, unknown person(s) stole $3 from an unlocked motor vehicle parked at her residence.
  • On March 18 at 7:30 a.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 6:30 p.m. on March 17 and 5:30 a.m. on March 18, unknown person(s) stole a Kenneth Cole satchel valued at $300 from an unlocked motor vehicle parked at her residence.
  • On March 18 at 9:45 a.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 6 p.m. on March 17 and 6:45 a.m. on March 18, unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone valued at $200 from an unlocked motor vehicle parked at his residence.

Theft of Service

  • On March 14 at 5:36 p.m., a complainant waiter from Cabo, located at 3A N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre, reported that between 4 and 5 p.m., two unknown persons ordered $48.93 worth of food and then left the restaurant without paying.

  • On March 18 at 6:15 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) made $200 in unauthorized transactions against her Net Spend Visa account.

Property Damage

  • On March 18 at 11:53 a.m., a complainant from Old Westbury reported that sometime between 3 p.m. on March 15 and 9 a.m. on March 18, a window on a temporary trailer located at 1 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre was damaged by unknown means.

  • On March 18 at 11:20 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 2:20 p.m. on March 15, he lost a social security card and NYPD identification card while in the vicinity of N. Park Avenue and Front Street in Rockville Centre.
