Crime Watch, Part II: Vehicles Damaged, Car Goes on Fire

Larceny

  • A complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Aug. 28 at 4:44 p.m. that an unknown person(s) stole his Trek bicycle from the parking lot of the St. Agnes Cathedral, located at 45 Clinton Ave., earlier in the day.

  • The sales manager from Mercedes Benz, located at 650 Sunrise Highway, reported to police on Aug. 30 at 11:28 a.m. that three state dealer license plates and two dealer-assigned passenger plates were lost or stolen from the car dealership.

  • A complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Sept. 1 that sometime between 9:25 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., an unknown person(s) damaged the driver side window of her 2013 Lexus that was parked on Clinton Avenue and stole an Apple iPhone valued at $400.

    • A complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Aug. 26 at 7:45 p.m. that an unknown person(s) transferred funds online from his Chase Bank account to a new bank account without his authorization. 

    Criminal Mischief

    • A complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Aug. 29 at 9:28 a.m. that sometime between Aug. 28 at 11:45 p.m. and Aug. 29 at 8:50 a.m., the passenger side tires of her motor vehicle, valued at $400, were punctured by unknown means while parked in Municipal Parking Field #12.

    Property Damage

    • A complainant from Rockville Centre reported to police on Aug. 30 at 1:47 p.m. that sometime between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. the rear of her 2008 Ford motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in Municipal Parking Field #1.

    Fire

    • An employee of All Island Taxi, located on Front Street, reported to police on Aug. 28 at 5:14 a.m. that a fire started in the engine compartment of his vehicle after experiencing mechanical problems.
