Crime Watch Part Two: Larcenies and ID Theft

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

ID Theft:

On April 9 at 5:25 p.m., a complainant from S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) opened an AT&T account with his personal information without authorization resulting in a bill of $114.43.

On April 11 at 4 p.m., a complainant from Windsor Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that an unknown person used her social security number at a job in North Carolina without authorization.

On April 12 at 4 p.m., a complainant from New York Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Feb. 1 and March 19, unknown person(s) filed a federal income tax return with her social security number without authorization.

Larceny:

On April 9 at 6:06 p.m., a complainant from Cohen’s Fashion Optical, located at 560 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, reported that at approximately 5:41 p.m., an unknown male stole a Ralph Lauren eye glass frame valued at $250.

On April 11 at 5:21 p.m., a complainant from Arlington Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between April 10 at 10 a.m. and April 11 at 4:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a FedEx parcel containing a Hewlett Packard printer valued at $89.99 from in front of her residence.

On April 14 at 11:22 a.m., a N. Long Beach Road resident reported an unknown person broke a passenger side window and stole a GPS unit from her 2004 Mazda while it was parked in the building garage overnight.

On April 15 at 8:50 p.m., a Lakeview resident reported his bicycle was stolen from the rear of the Fantasy Theatre at 18 N. Park Ave.

Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle:

On April 10  9:15 a.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that on April 9 at 11 a.m., she lent her 1993 Nissan to an acquaintance from Huntington who did not return it at the agreed upon time.
