  • Nov. 14 - at 11 p.m., Karmie W. Wellington, 19, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunrise Highway.
  • Nov. 16 - at 2:25 a.m., Saman L. Emile, 25, of Queens Village, was arrested and charged with driving while ntoxicated and improper lane usage on Peninsula Boulevard.
  • Nov. 18 - at 2:15 a.m., Anthony D. Issacs, of Queens, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and an unsafe lane change on Sunrise Highway.
  • Nov. 18 - at 11:25 p.m., Taylor C. Papa, 20, of Garden City, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Scranton Avenue.
  • Nov. 19 - at 6:01 p.m., Christopher Goldman, 51, of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with DWI on Broadway.

Case Reports

  • Grand Larceny – At 9:50 a.m. on Nov. 17, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) did take a camera bag containing a Canon video camera and flash, batteries and compact flash cards from in front of an address on Scranton Ave. The lost is valued at $4,745.
  • Suspicious Incident – At 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 19, a white male, approximately 30 years old, 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, thin build, short black hair, blue eyes wearing black jeans, blue button down shirt, black jacket operating a newer model Ford Mustang, color black, pulled up to located at 659 Sunrise Highway. The male started to wave and motion to an 11-year-old boy who was sitting at a table by the front window. The 11-year-old male did not respond to the male and remained seated. The male then entered the store an ordered a cup of coffee and while exiting the store stopped and said hello to the 11-year-old male and told him that he knew him. The male then exited the store and left the scene.
  • Attempted Petit Larceny - At 4 p.m. on Nov. 21, a white male approximately 50-55 years old, between 6’2” and 6’ 4” wearing black jeans, a blue t-shirt, green jacket, tan hat and black sneakers attempted to exit located at 400 Sunrise Highway when the store security sensor activated. The store cashier asked the male to walk back to the manager’s office when the male reached into his jacket and removed a Craig touch screen tablet, valued at $120 and handed to the cashier. The male then exited the store and left in a two-door gold auto westbound on Sunrise Highway.
  • Attempted Grand Larceny - At 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 21, the complainant who owns the Gulf gas station, located at 265 Sunrise Highway, reported that an unknown person(s) did place an electronic credit card reader on one of the gas pumps in an attempt to secure his customers credit card information.
  • Grand Larceny - At 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 22, the complainant reported that an unknown person(s) did take their NYS Drivers License, Social Security Card, Credit Card and $300 from their wallet. The larceny occurred between Nov. 2 and Nov. 22 from their home on Doxsey Place.
