Dec: 19: Holiday Concert at the Library, Christian Science Reading Room Open House
Take a look at what's going on in RVC this Sunday.

1. Are you interested in Christian Science literature? Come down to the Christian Science Reading Room open house from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and see what they have to offer.
2. Are you a historian? Then you might enjoy, "For Us the Living" Civil War painting exhibition at the Nassau County Museum of Art from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The exhibition consists of approximately 50 paintings accompanied by a selection of documentary objects. Many of the paintings are from Künstler's own collection, others are from various private and public collections. For the first time, visitors to a Künstler exhibition will gain an inside look into the artist's creative process through a display of his sketches, drawings, preliminary studies, photographs and props. This major exhibition fills the museum's first and second floor galleries.
3. Do you have a child with special needs? Bring them to the between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. and enjoy an hour of play time with them and their siblings. This program is sponsored by Nassau-Suffolk Chapter of the Autism Society of America. Reservation is required as space is limited. Contact Paul Lawless mplawless@verizon.net.

4. In the mood for a concert? Join Linda Empanema for a lovely afternoon at the library as she celebrates the holiday season with a holiday concert. This presentation is part of the library's Sunday Afternoon Concert Series.
5. St. Mark's Methodist Church hosts its Sunday morning service at 10 a.m. It is open to anyone who wants to attend.
