Emergency Department Expansion Includes 54 Private Exam Rooms
It's a $50 million upgrade for Mount Sinai South Nassau.

OCEANSIDE, NY — Mount Sinai South Nassau is renovating and expanding the emergency department. It's a $50 million overhaul for the Oceanside facility.
The first phase of project includes 54 private exam rooms in the Fennessy Family Emergency Department.
The ED will be able to see approximately 75,000 patients annually and features centralized nursing stations for direct oversight of patient rooms and a state-of-the art trauma unit with an adjoining radiology bay.

More than $10 million of the renovation cost was funded by donations from the community during a five-year capital fundraising campaign.
The second phase includes nine new operating rooms and 40 new intensive care rooms.
