Due to the blizzard, Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano and the American Red Cross have announced that three emergency shelters have been opened, effective at 8 p.m. Thursday.
The locations include:
- Glen Cove - Glen Cove Senior Center: 130 Glen Street, Glen Cove
- Massapequa Park - McKenna Elementary School: 210 Spruce Street, Massapequa Park
- Port Washington – Paul Schreiber High School: 101 Campus Drive, Port Washington
