Fire Shuts Mexican Restaurant; GoFundMe Page Established

The Curbside Mexican Grill in South Hempstead had received more than $1,000 in donations, while they working toward reopening.

SOUTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — A fire caused the temporary closure of Curbside Mexican Grill in South Hempstead.

The blaze took place on March 15.

The restaurant posted on Facebook that they working hard toward reopening as soon as possible and thanked the community for love and support. No date was given for the restaurant's reboot.

Curbside Mexican Grill is also getting support by way of donations on a GoFundMe page, created by a friend and customer.

The page, which received more than $1,100 in donations, was posted to "continue to feed their own families and maintain roofs over their heads," until they get up and running again.
