Gillen Gets 2 Committee Assignments In Congress

"I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle on these committees," Rep. Gillen said.

WASHINGTON, DC — Newly elected Congresswoman Laura Gillen has been named to a pair of committees.

The Democrat, who serves the 4th Congressional District, was appointed to the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and the Science, Space & Technology Committee.

"I will fight to improve Nassau County’s infrastructure: repairing our heavily traveled highways, roads, and bridges, bringing home federal dollars for the busiest commuter rail system in the country, ensuring clean drinking water, strengthening our emergency preparedness against natural disasters, and protecting our shoreline," Gillen said in a statement.
