Gym Opens First Nassau Location
Energy Fitness, with four Suffolk County facilities, has added Rockville Centre.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Now that the pandemic rules and regulations are loosening, the health club industry is ready to see an explosion in customers.
Energy Fitness has been operational for two decades. After opening four facilities in Suffolk County, they just expanded across the border with a gym in Rockville Centre.
"When you look at the community, we wanted to be very strategic in the first location in Nassau County," Jeff Sanders, who is part of the Energy Fitness executive team since January, told Patch. "We wanted to be close to where we could be in the hub of community events and make the biggest impact."

The Sunrise Highway shop debuted on March 6 and Sanders is delighted with the response.
"More people are searching. More people are coming in and they're wanting to get more information from us," Sanders said.

That has quickly translated to more sales.
"We're adding to our membership every single day," he said.
Sanders is most proud of offering free community classes every Saturday. Additionally, Sanders said Energy Fitness is taking customers' health seriously as they give every member that signs up all the amenities and equipment for free. One-on-one coaching will be a separate fee.
"That's what really resonating with people," Sanders said. "The more someone's willing to invest in themselves, the more we want to invest in them."
Energy Fitness has other Long Island locations in Fort Salonga, Huntington, Miller Place and St. James.
